I wouldn't necessarily call this a "new" diet, but it is a diet for packing on lean muscle that I have been on for about 6 months and I am seeing huge gains in lean muscle mass. It's extremely strict, so if you like to cheat on your diet, then this isnt for you.
Your body pretty much draws energy from fat or carbs. We want it to draw from fat, but good fat, not saturated fat. The diet is high protein, high fat (good fat), low carb. Good fat meaning fish, flax seed oil, peanut butter, avocados, etc. Since you have this good fat in your system that actually promotes weight loss, you don't get that lethargic feeling from not having any carbs because your body is drawing energy from omega 3's and 6's.
The first week you "carb load". You don't eat any carbs at all for a week. Then every 3 days at NIGHT you eat all of the carbs you want. This will shock your body and keep it from going into catabolic state.
I pretty much eat grilled chicken breast, and broccolli damn near every meal, just as personal preference because brocolli is the healthiest vegetable and chicken is easy to make and readily available. You can season the chicken however you want, but try to keep it low sodium. Like most diets, stay away from carbonated crap, cokes, NO SUGAR, butters, etc. You can eat fish, lean red meat every other day, etc. It's boring, but it works and if youre truly serious about a diet, you will make the proper sacrifices.
It's kind of a body building diet, and you're neevr too old or too fat to try to start. You can stop when you see desired results, you dont have to look like arnold.
If you want more specific details about this diet, I have a web address for you. (This is not my website, and not a friends...not promoting anything...just referencing...)
